Throughout the month of May, the Django will be featuring young, emerging talent as part of our inaugural "Next Generation Series":

Established in 2019, THE OCTET is a small jazz ensemble dedicated to preserving the tradition and history of the expansive eras of the jazz idiom. For the past two years, members of THE OCTET have contributed to a continuously growing repertoire, arranging and composing all pieces in the catalog. THE OCTET has been featured in performance with many of the leading musicians today, at a variety of the greater NYC jazz venues. Their most recent endeavor has been the collection and arrangement of beautiful standard selections to be performed with jazz vocalist Samara Joy. THE OCTET shows no signs of slowing down, as their best has yet to come.
