Jackson Potter is a guitarist and composer based in New York City, known for his thoughtful blend of classic jazz and modern ideas. Originally from St. Paul, MN, he started playing guitar at age 10, inspired by a musical family that includes his grandmother, Nashville singer Joyce Paul. After earning his degree at the University of Miami and placing in several guitar competitions, he moved to NYC in 2021 and has since performed at venues like Lincoln Center. His latest release, small things, featuring Jaleel Shaw and Troy Roberts, came out in January 2025 on Shifting Paradigm Records to strong reviews..
