HVLT is a modern soul/jazz ensemble featuring Tyreek McDole, the acclaimed jazz vocalist called one of the most promising new voices in the genre. He first captured attention by winning the Outstanding Vocalist Award at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s 2018 Essentially Ellington Competition. In 2023, he further solidified his reputation by winning first place in the prestigious Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition, becoming only the second male vocalist to do so in the competition’s history.
