COWS is the modern jazz collective fronted by rising jazz guitarist Ely Perlman. Based in New York City, he is emerging as one of the scene’s most exciting new voices. Known for his genre-blending versatility, he connects his all-around guitar, production and composition skills. Perlman is a member of Ursa Major, the newest quintet led by eight-time Grammy Award–winning bassist Christian McBride. He has collaborated with a wide range of acclaimed artists, including Shai Maestro, Braxton Cook, Noah Preminger, Amir Bresler, and many more.

Originally from Tel Aviv, Perlman began his musical journey at a young age and developed a strong foundation in jazz and contemporary music. He is a graduate of the Israel Conservatory of Music, before moving to the United States to attend Berklee College of Music.
